Opening: Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 6 p.m.
Opened by:
Krisztina Kecskés, Noémi Ferenczy Award-winning glass artist,
Deputy Art Director of the
High School of Fine and Applied Arts (Kisképő)
It can be viewed until December 19, 2025, Monday-Friday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Kisképő solar system is constantly in motion...
It contains newly born stars, planets that have set off on their own orbits, and paths where the gravity of the masters helps the starters. However, they have one thing in common: everyone here has their own material, their own light, and their own path.
The Design Duel 2024 (organized by thes FISE) was a sudden cosmic challenge for them, in which two Kisképő teams also landed in first place. This exhibition is the imprint of this victory and the story of the slowly building creative path they have traveled over the past years. Now, in the FISE Gallery, they show together what worlds have been shaped under their hands. The details of the surfaces of the exhibited objects are revealed like the secret landscapes of distant planets: delicate reliefs, imprints, gestures.
On December 9, these planets will meet in a special star position, and all visitors are invited to a short journey into the special universe of the Small School.
METATRONIKA - Exhibition of glass designer artist Zsolt János Budai
Opening: Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 6 p.m.
Opened by: Géza Kulcsár, writer, researcher
On view until December 5, 2025, Monday-Friday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
A comprehensive exhibition covering the past 8 years of the creative activity of glass designer Zsolt János Budai, which is also the designer's first solo exhibition.
The artist's passion and attachment to the world of robots dates to his university years, and has been going on since his diploma thesis. The title of the exhibition is 'Metatronics', which comes from a word combination. The word 'mechatronics' itself is a combination of the word’s mechanics and electronics. The other half of the exhibition's fantasy name comes from the name of Metatron, the angel of transitions, who is connected to humanity and helps in transformation and the discovery of inner strength.
The designer is truly drawn to the world of robots, which are a recurring starting point and a constant source of inspiration for him. They also provide an opportunity to experiment, to study mechanical movements, examining and creating the relationship between different materials and connections. The connection with electricity also appears in his creative work, the artist often draws from the design of electronic devices and appliances; for example, the head of his sculpture Mr. Red is provided by an electron tube from an old radio.
The first robot was made in 2009, and then in 2016 they became a robot series, with the completion of 5 more works. One of these became part of the collection of the Laczkó Dezső Museum in Veszprém, and one ended up in a private collection, just like the very first robot. As time went on, the designer set himself increasingly greater challenges. With his latest, 90 cm high work, he surpassed his previous works, not only in size, but also in technical complexity.

Our Stamp Deco team, which won first place in the fine arts/graphics category of the MDDÜ “Get Into the Picture! – Discoverer of the Year” competition – representing the BKSZC Creative and Handicrafts Technical School – was given the opportunity to present itself at the renowned FISE Gallery. The exhibition will feature not only the award-winning project, but also the works of 6 other award-winning teams from our school.
In the Stamp Deco team’s work titled Art Deco Impressions (2025), the motifs of Budapest’s art deco architecture are reflected in contemporary graphic form on the students’ stamp blocks. The prints made with the cold-point technique condense the elegance and detail of the era into small-scale visual compositions. The stamp block forms a thematic unit. The young artists also reinterpreted the role of stamps for their age group through comics.

This world is such a world, sometimes we can't even believe it's real.
There is a technique that, after a lot of practice, will allow us to separate dreams from reality. It is called the reality test. According to experts, it should be done like this: "at least every half hour during the day, we should check whether we are dreaming or not, looking for strange things in space and time, always assuming that "maybe I am dreaming?" Even if the answers to the first questions indicate that we are awake, we should still do the test, because it may turn out that we are really dreaming!"
But what if the test shows that we are definitely awake, but we still don't want to believe our eyes? Should we accept this world as it is?

Opening on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 6 p.m.
Guests will be welcomed by: Daniella Koós, curator of the exhibition.
The exhibition will be opened by: Róbert Mascher, president of FISE
Creative art is a vocation. Creation is a complex process, which is always at least as unique as the object itself. The path that the artist travels during the work—filled with love and struggle, sometimes weary and doubtful, but always hopeful—is one of faith in art and humanity, leading to the creation of something lasting. This summer, the Studio Young Artists' Association (FISE) held an exhibition entitled Outcomes of Hope in the magnificent corridors of the Falconeri Palace at the Academy of Rome, joining Pope Francis's “Pilgrimage of Hope,” the public can view works of applied art that are the valuable results of a creative process imbued with hope. FISE prepared a special version of its successful exhibition for Budapest Design Week.
The exhibition can be viewed between October 15 and 24, 2025, during the gallery's opening hours.

In 2025, the National Goldsmith Competition, which is the meeting point for Hungarian goldsmith foundation training courses, will be held for the fourth time. The initiative aims to support talent, promote joint thinking and dialogue, and open new perspectives in contemporary goldsmithing.
This year's slogan: HIBA
Mistakes are a natural part of learning and creation: through them we learn the limits of materials, our own frameworks, and can discover new paths. Repetition, the search for perfection and the inevitable lack leave a mark on every object, which thus preserves the personal imprint and context of the creator. The works submitted to the competition carry a narrative message – stories that speak through the work of the hand, the shaping of the material and mistakes.
The exhibition features 52 works by 44 applicants, each of which provides a unique reflection on the concept of "mistake".
The prize was offered by Erika Rejka DLA and Harry Kft.

We cordially invite you to the exhibition organized on the occasion of the 10th birthday of KACs – Creative Creative Group, where you can see a selection of works from the past ten years. This event is also an opportunity to gain an insight into the creative work taking place in the workshop, the processes, development and methodology of the past decade, as well as our commitment to creativity.
The goal of the KACs Workshop is to convey fundamental human values, stimulate thinking, encourage learning and invite discovery, all through fun, experience-based creative sessions that process current topics.
The exhibition will showcase the works created during the various programs, showing how the participants created their own works using different techniques and recyclable materials. The goal of each session is for the participants not only to create, but also to think about sustainability, recycling and the conscious use of materials in connection with the current topic.
During the “workshop-exhibition”, you will have the opportunity to view the works, learn about the creative processes and experience the spirit of KACs. We look forward to seeing you at this special anniversary event, where we can celebrate creativity, the joy of creation and community experiences together.
