Our Stamp Deco team, which won first place in the fine arts/graphics category of the MDDÜ “Get Into the Picture! – Discoverer of the Year” competition – representing the BKSZC Creative and Handicrafts Technical School – was given the opportunity to present itself at the renowned FISE Gallery. The exhibition will feature not only the award-winning project, but also the works of 6 other award-winning teams from our school.
In the Stamp Deco team’s work titled Art Deco Impressions (2025), the motifs of Budapest’s art deco architecture are reflected in contemporary graphic form on the students’ stamp blocks. The prints made with the cold-point technique condense the elegance and detail of the era into small-scale visual compositions. The stamp block forms a thematic unit. The young artists also reinterpreted the role of stamps for their age group through comics.
