UP
Don't be grounded! Try aiming to reach higher levels. What can we find up there? I dont know, but it could be different then down here. Our goal was to find new directions and a pathes with the jof of discovering unknown areas. Cutting off from reality was kept as principal, the free creativity guided our artistic aprroach. Playing with themes like time, space, dimensions, colors and light formed the concept of this exhibition. Imagine with us not keeping convencions, leave the ground or the planet Earth. Do fly! Freely, without effort. Feel this mood, be independent in all kinds.

Memorial Bath

What can the collective message of a personal memory be like? What is the personal message of a collective memory? Are memories present as hidden, concealing patterns? How much do we show ourselves, how much do we reveal of ourselves if we share our memories? What does a thin layer of porcelain reveal and what does it show? There are recurring elements in our memories that reemerge from time to time and then fade under the influence of an experience, sight, or sound. In the same way as different light conditions make it appear, hidden images on displayed porcelain objects appear to be different in intensity.

The works of Zsuzsa Boldizsár (ceramic designer) deal with the issue of repetition and remembrance. Her works are characterized by the playful exploration of hidden meanings and messages in objects and the examination of our relationship to them. With her hidden series, she makes earthenware where the character of the object changes significantly depending on light conditions. The object thus slows down the reception process itself, motivating contemplation and observation. The starting point of her porcelain postcards is a series of pictures taken by photographer Lili Sziráki, which she reflects on in parallel with her own family photographs.

With the series displayed by Lili Sziráki (photographer), in connection with the above issues, she is looking for the answer to what those places, locations, pieces at home, feelings from home are that may be represented in non-traditional postcards. There is a possible answer in her reading, in her selection of images for all of us. In the same way, yet differently.

Thus, the surface of the textile becomes more than a mere material, it will be a carrier surface for new messages that can be interpreted even between the past, the present and the future.

MAMO / 2021 - Joint exhibition of Anita Monori and Márton Strohner
The exhibition will be opened by: Zoltán Lublóy - ceramic artist
The exhibition can be viewed: October 2021. November 26 12.

A selection of the first and second year works of the MMA scholarship of ceramic artist Anita Monori and the series A-LAMP and BASIC Vase 2021 by ceramic artist / designer Márton Strohner. The friendship of the two artists dates back more than 15 years, during which time their professional paths were formed in parallel several times, they both created their own brand and now decided to present their latest works in a joint exhibition.

-
Anita Monori presents some of her work from the first two years of her MMA Art Fellowship, the results of her experiments with digital technologies.
Anita is no stranger to combining modern technology with traditional methods, but so far he has only used them as tools.
The essence of the work created during the MMA scholarship is that digital technology not only creates but also influences objects. Following this line of reasoning, he uses the "traces" of the tool used to make the surface of the objects.
The technology used in the first year was CNC milling, so its rough steps make the already interesting design world even more exciting. During the second year, 3d printing was the technology of choice, the filling structures of which give the pattern of the subject group.
-
In recent years, the focus of Márton Strohner's creative work has been on the theme of lamps / light-objects. The lamp / light object as a category in the Home Decor has now grown into a very emphatic and defining element of contemporary design, including porcelain design. Their role is also very significant from a representational point of view. In the case of a mood lamp, the focus is not on 100% functionality (not primarily a light source) but rather on creating the mood. To create his modern-minimalist objects, he uses techniques based on classic European porcelain-making traditions, and he wants to match them to the demand and quality expectations of our time. In this way, it seeks to create a connection between the traditional and the modern, this logical system is based on respect for the classical craft tradition, reinterprets it, and thus ensures the survival of the tradition in the present and in the future.

1984 - the year that has come to the fore countless times in recent years, the year that briefly characterizes the changes in social and economic trends intensified by the pandemic.
However, this date is not only the title of one of the most famous dystopia and the definition of a negative sense of community, in many cases a lovely, personal number. Just as the changes catalyzed by the pandemic have brought with them a lot of personal change, so does that number of years hide a number of positive events.

FISE's group exhibition, scheduled for this year's Budapest Design Week, features the latest works by designers born in the cult year, while the hall was born in 1984.

Gavalda könyvajánló

We have to live in lock-down again, most of us have to stay at home to be safe...
The Assotiation of FISE had to close the gallery either again.

So the member of the management started a small series about good and lovely memories, experiences to help the community stay together.

Daniella recommends her favourite books from Anna Gavalda, Marti tells her cool trip in High-Tatras, and Fazi sends a really good mucis to everyone.
