We invite you to Kamilla Hu-Yang's first solo exhibition entitled 'Inner Landscapes'.
The graphic world appearing in the blue image series is created with a psychological-philosophical approach. In its center, dreamlike metaphors of nature and the built environment meet the inner terrain of the soul. The landscapes obtained in this way, the role played by the figures in space, their relation to it and their ability to arrange space, as if it were, impressions of these internal processes. There are also existential features such as re-endowing the void with meaning, the search for connection with the "complete whole", the sustaining power of the inner center and the striving for a state of flow beyond the fragments of everyday difficulties.

The watchwords of the exhibition are exploration, cognition and immersion, with which the color blue is also associated: it echoes in substances that go beyond the plain and appear in nature, such as the sky and water, which enable a kind of transcendence. The exhibited visual world is accompanied by a sound installation by Ádám Dénes.

In Kamilla's works, the relationship between the individual and the outside world, the defining of the relationship between the individual and the collective can often be seen in action. In her graphics, aspects of internal and external structures, units and boundaries in the world are coming to life.

"Kamilla's risograph prints condense the vibrations of the soul into monochrome scenes, our solitude, trials, requests and sorrows all find a place in a world with philosophical sensibility, ruled by light and burdened with clouds."

At the beginning of their careers, many young artists may feel that they are left alone in the world of industrial art and design, that it is more difficult for them to access information, and that their works find it difficult to reach the public. They may also fear that their professional relationships will fade or be interrupted. The Studio of Young Industrial Artists was established 40 years ago to solve these problems, and it now operates as a non-profit association and a recognized professional organization. In a circular, it informs its 350 members about the possibilities and tenders discovered. With their website, publications and exhibitions - such as the current one, B32 FISE40 - they try to provide them with more publicity. The festive exhibition of FISE members in the two exhibition spaces of B32 is not only a presentation of beautiful objects, but a self-determination matured in a community, the answer of young people to the tasks facing contemporary Hungarian applied art. It simultaneously presents the individual achievements, the artistic level of the age group and the professional rank of the Association. The secret of FISE's success is that among its members there are many creators who belong to the forefront of contemporary design and whose works are outstanding at the international level, who not only increase the prestige of FISE with their presence in the life of the association, but also actively participate in its operation. You can find out more about their international exhibitions and their downtown Gallery with the help of the website available at www.fise.hu.
We therefore recommend to your attention the FISE40 exhibition of young artists, great works displaying all areas of applied art (interior architecture, photography, graphics, industrial form, clothing, goldsmiths, silicate, textiles)!

On behalf of the FISE membership, the Management of the Association wishes you a peaceful Christmas and a successful New Year!

70th anniversary exhibition of the glassmaking department of the Applied Arts High School

The exhibition will be opened by: art historian András B. Szilágyi,
Tuesday, November 29, 2022, 6 p.m.
It can be viewed until December 9, 2022, from Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 18:00.

The glass department of the Kisképző (Vocational and Applied Arts High School) is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. This year is special not only for our glass department, but also for the entire profession, as 2022 is also the international year of glass.
In 1952, Júlia Báthory - an internationally renowned glass designer and industrial artist who received several awards both abroad and in our country - founded the glass department at the then School of Industrial Design, which has trained several generations of glass artists since then. Through the most characteristic objects of this 70-year period, the exhibition attempts to present the changes in applied arts and art pedagogy of each era.
The exhibition is also unique in that the presented material also provides an exciting insight into the most basic techniques and means of expression of glass art, from the earliest years to the present day.

Soul thief

An obsessive photographer is happy to photograph almost any subject. But the most interesting topic is the person. Capturing someone's personality and telling their story in one picture is the most exciting task. Yes, in this case we steal a little bit of our model's soul in a good way. We do this with such passion and humility that our subject finally feels that he has opened up to us with joy. At my exhibition at the FISE Gallery, you can see portraits made over many years, of friends, acquaintances, or people you simply call out to on the street.

Contemporary Jewelry Week Budapest 2022 / Exhibition Series September 12 - 18

Budapest will be the capital of contemporary jewelry for a week!

This September, the capital will once again be the capital of contemporary jewelry. The Contemporary Jewelry Week Budapest (BJW), previously known as the Night of Jewelry, will be held for the eighth time between September 12-18, 2022, organized by the goldsmiths of FISE!

The most important goal of the event is to popularize the genre of contemporary jewelry as widely as possible, giving domestic and foreign artists the opportunity to present their latest works. The program series operates on a biennial theme, and as in every even-numbered year, this fall, interested parties will be able to encounter exhibitions and programs organized in connection with the event at more than twenty locations throughout Budapest, as well as at the Mana Gallery in Szentendre and the Ezüstláz Gallery in Pécs.
During the week-long series of events, in addition to individual or group exhibitions by Hungarian artists, the internationally announced competition material will also be presented, hosted by the Hybridart Space Gallery, one of the best venues in the city center.

This year's slogan is: PARADOX. The one-person jury for the competition material is one of the most prominent and influential figures in contemporary jewelry design, the Dutch Gijs Bakker. This is certainly one of the reasons why this year's call for applications exceeded all previous ones. We can therefore be sure that an exceptionally exciting and meaningful exhibition awaits the audience. The competition material, the PARADOX exhibition pieces, will be on display from September

Due to the great interest in previous years, there will also be guided tours of the venue this year, where the organizing team will take visitors around, allowing them to take a deeper look at the competition material on display.
The same space will also host the presentation of glass and jewelry designer Márta Edőcs’ series, created especially for the event. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the jewelry will support the future operation of the event.

We take great care to organize valuable programs for the wider public as well as for the creative community, which can help the professional development of artists. This year, interested parties can participate in several lectures, workshops and portfolio reviews. It is a great privilege that Gijs Bakker, who is participating as a jury, will delight the domestic audience with a personal presentation at the Three Ravens Café in the heart of the city center. Another guest of the event, Charon Kransen, a New York art collector and curator, will talk about the collaboration with the artists in an online presentation, and will even hold a professional consultation for domestic designers on an application basis. This year's third speaker, internationally acclaimed artist and book author Daniela Malev, will also visit Hungary and, in addition to her professional report, she will provide an insight into her design attitude within the framework of a five-day workshop at the Kredenc Studio between September 19-23, during which participants can enrich their practical experience.

In addition to the aforementioned events, it is important to highlight that each of the individual or group exhibitions will also have its own program during the jewelry week, where interested parties can personally meet the artists and their works. Throughout the entire program series, a map specifically related to the event will make it easy to navigate between the programs, on which all locations and important dates will be found.
On Friday, September 16, the main program of the event will take place, where the valuable and meaningful awards will be presented in a ceremonial setting to the creators of the related exhibitions and the exhibitors of the Paradox competition material. The awards include numerous foreign exhibition opportunities and valuable gift packages, which enable the establishment of new professional relationships and the birth of new works of art. The pearl-shaped porcelain award, which has become known as the trademark of the event, was made by ceramic artist Katalin Herter this year as well. It can be visited until September 25.

What is new is that this year, enthusiastic interested parties can also try themselves as creators at the workshop of jewelry designer Veronika Fazekas, in the Kastner Kommunity community space, on Saturday, September 17, between 10 am and 2 pm.

MAIN PROGRAMS:
• Date of the exhibition series: September 12 - 18.
