Erzsébet Betti Domonyi, the jeweller and architect who creates works at the intersection of texture and geometry. This path enables her to explore different materials in different contexts, how they interact and become one. What is most important for her is to allow the material to evolve as it will, to let it take its course. In the exhibition, the square carbon fibre profile composite is set in different positions, preserving the constructive concept that he builds on the cube. With the CUBE I collection, he aims to show a segment of contemporary art where he can create self-identical works while maintaining both engineering and art.

Mária Schuller is a fashion and textile designer. In her work textiles create cohesion with the graphic approach of the technology of machine embroidery, which has now become her specialty. Textiles are integrated into her creations as a painterly element with their materiality, spatial dimensions, and the experience of somatic pleasure. The found and collected bits and pieces of textile (mostly not suitable for other purposes because they are waste) are used to create a new clothes and other textile compositions by sewing and embroidering, usually accompanied by visual and textual humor.

(in)direct message - Csenge Diriczi, Csaba Molnár, Anna Sümegh and Luca Zsiga Ujvári exhibition of goldsmiths

Opening on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 6 p.m.
The exhibition will be opened by design and art manager Ildikó Fazekas.
On view until March 8, 2024, from Monday to Friday from 2 to 6 p.m.

All four of us approached the topic of self-discovery from different aspects.
- Csenge Diriczi's jewelry attempts to process and reframe internal processes such as the difficulties of growing up without emotional security, as well as the acceptance of constant change that goes hand in hand with human existence.
- Csaba Molnár's objects break out of the individual's protective shell towards the community as a message through a personal symbol system.
- Anna Sümegh displays her inner dialogues in her series of postcard collages and poetic graphics, and examines the interwoven circles of anxiety.
- Luca Ujvári-Zsiga created experimental installations that map the causes of procrastination through the reinterpretation of the artist's personal objects.

This year, the season starts again with the introductory group exhibition of the newly recruited members at the FISE Gallery. Artists who were accepted during last year's admission procedure will present themselves to the association's community and the wider public in their first joint exhibition.
In this case, the compilation turns out to be exciting, as the works of artists from many fields and in many different situations are placed next to each other, and they form a collaboration open to new dialogue in the space of the gallery.

What came first: the image or the thought?
How are our stories and inner images related?
What colors can be used to convey a certain mood or emotion?
How do text and image rely on each other when we are up to our necks in storytelling?
Is there a difference if an external story brings the image to life, or if it comes from an internal cinema to a surface that can be viewed by others?

Many questions, many answers. At FISE's exhibition entitled CAPACITY, we look at the topic with a diversity of techniques and approaches, we try to look at it from many angles and examine the possible reactions and effects. In addition to more recent works and the newest members, our creators, who form the basis of our association's continued existence, are also included in this special selection.

TRANSITIONS

The exhibition is a convincing demonstration of the two creator’s extensive and multifaceted experiences, however along the similarities also makes visible the differences as well. The textiles are presented in painted, printed, folded, tailored, sewn executions, in different functions and qualities, spectacularly illustrating the many forms they are present in our everyday lives and how they can affect our mood and quality of life.
Anna Sallay combines different painting and printing methods in an innovative way, the freedom of spontaneous unique prints and the simultaneous use of pre-constructed patterns gives a special, completely personal and unrepeatable visual experience. It opens up a world of endless possibilities, not only in terms of aesthetics, but also in terms of use.
Bettina Wolf’s works are characterized by a very elaborate and intricate finish: by coupling her garments with smaller scale, delicate accessories, with details more akin to the world of jewellery, she extends their functionality and usability. In addition to the clothes, we can also look into the creative process in the form of drawings, sketches, mood boards, and prints.

The exhibition will be opened by negotiator Sára Török, president of the Fénybánya Huta-ivégé Foundation
Opening: November 14, 2023 at 7 p.m
On view until November 24, 2023, from Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 18:00

Kertész Krisztina, the glass artist, conveys light-hearted and sometimes whimsical themes in her works at first glance. Her exhibition titled “Modellált poéma” (Modeled Poem) offers insight into the exploration and acceptance of complex emotions enclosed within glass, through the poems written by the artist herself. The sculptures and small artworks are not intended to interpret the poems; they can be appreciated as separate creations. However, they extract and model specific elements of thought and imagery from the poems, reflecting the intense emotional world and visionary visuality.
What do we reveal, and what do we hide? How well do we know ourselves and what do we admit? Are we connected to our inner world? Do we dare to embrace vulnerability? The more something is broken within us, the more we look outward and avoid introspection, sometimes even to ourselves. This exhibition forms a synergy of emotions and materials, much like the human experience itself.

The exhibition will be opened by: Márton Szentpéteri Phd habil.
Opening: Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 7 p.m
It can be visited: until 10.11.2023, on working days between 13:00 and 18:00.

G.O.A.T. Greatest Of All Time.

The exhibition presents the time Patrícia Harsány and Nelli Szabó spent in Yemen, on the island of Socotra. For two weeks on the island, the creative couple held art workshops for young people at the local university and at the Socotra Festival. The island's curiosity is that it is a kind of marginal enclave within the Arab region, both culturally and in terms of its biodiversity. Traveling to the island is still a relatively new opportunity and working together with the locals, even though it has only recently become possible for certain professionals who are valuable to the island, so this was an exceptional opportunity for them both as a European woman and as a designer couple.
The exhibition will feature his own reflections, presenting daily life in Sokotra together with objects, notes and stories like a diary.
Visitors to the exhibition are welcomed with Socotra honey and Arabic coffee.
